A Village is a small, invite-only group built around an industry or a territory — the kind of standing referral relationship that used to live in someone's private group chat. There's no public directory to browse: the only way in is to build one, or be invited by someone already there.

Your name stays private until someone earns it
Every member appears under a chosen alias by default. Your real name and LinkedIn profile are revealed only once you and another member both confirm you want to work together — or once you share an invite-only Village with them. It's the same trust tier either way, and it's enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface.
Reputation is built the same careful way: ratings can't be submitted until 24 hours after a match is confirmed, and the platform runs its own checks for the kind of paired accounts that try to fake a reputation score by rating each other instead of transacting with the wider network.

Is VillageNexus free to use? +
Yes. Creating an account, posting opportunities, joining or building Villages, and everything else in the app is free. VillageNexus does not take a cut of any referral fee arranged between members.
Does VillageNexus process referral fee payments? +
No. Any referral fee is arranged and paid directly between the two members involved — VillageNexus isn't a party to it. The in-app deal log is a private record-keeping tool for your own reference.

How does the alias system actually protect me? +
You choose what alias to show. Your real name and LinkedIn URL are never shown to another member until you've both confirmed you want to work together, or you share an invite-only Village together — and that check happens in the database itself, not just in what the app displays.
What's a Village? +
A small, invite-only referral pod built around an industry or territory. You can post opportunities just to your Village, share them to the wider Marketplace too, and see a directory of fellow members and what they do — but only once you're actually in it.
Is my data sold to advertisers? +
No. VillageNexus does not sell personal information. If a page shows an ad, it's served by an ad network like Google AdSense, which may use its own cookies as disclosed in our Privacy Policy — separate from anything VillageNexus itself collects.
